About the Course
This sanctions compliance training combines key sanctions compliance principles, which must be applied to ensure adherence across multiple regimes. Breaches of restrictive measures can result in substantial financial penalties and reputational damage. To remain compliant, organizations need to understand regulation's impact and the necessary steps to be undertaken to mitigate exposure to violation of sanctions.
The course enables participants to understand the background of sanctions, their origins and the legal frameworks and how they work in practice in different jurisdictions. During the training participants will acquire new skills to select and assess risk factors and areas where sanctions violation risk is most relevant to the services, products, organization or industry. Participants will walk through areas of the organization where the risk of non-compliance with both international and national sanctions creates unacceptable risk exposure and emerges the need to implement control processes. The key outcome for any participant is to gain a vision of a sanction compliance framework, which is tailored to the needs of a particular organization and creates a robust response on current developments on the sanctions regulatory landscape.
